Resumen
Abstract:
Throughout the history of Translation Studies, the concept of “equivalence” has played a very important role. After having reviewed Nida´s theory, experts have come to the conclusion that a distinction must be made between the concepts of “equivalence” and “adequacy”. The question to be posed is whether it is possible to find a total equivalence between two texts belonging to two absolutely different cultures.
