Resumen
Cuando una persona lee o escucha noticias de Colombia puede pensar que le están hablando en otro idioma. Cada día, nuevos términos y expresiones están a la orden del día, a tal punto, que confunden a cualquier persona que no esté al tanto de la realidad social y política del país. El propósito de este artículo es describir la fuerte influencia del contexto sociopolítico colombiano en la creación de palabras, términos y expresiones que son usadas y comprendidas, principalmente, por habitantes de este país. El vocabulario que aparece en este artículo ha sido coleccionado y agrupado de varias fuentes: libros, periódicos en línea, revistas, programas radiales y televisivos, Diccionario de Paz, etc.
Abstract
A vocabulary that will confuse Cervantes
When a person reads or listens to the Colombian news, he/she might think that they are speaking in a different language. Every day, new terms and expressions are the order of the day, to the point that they confuse some people who are not aware of the political and social reality of Colombia. The aim of this paper is to describe the strong influence of different Colombian sociopolitical issues in the creation and use of new words, terms, and expressions that are used and understood mainly by the population of this country. The vocabulary that appears in this article has been obtained and categorized from different sources: books, online newspapers, magazines, radio, television, the Dictionary of Peace, etc.
